How to become a Seller on ezMediArt?

We do not differentiate accounts for buyers or sellers.

First, you will need to create your account. Once that is done, you can begin purchasing stock or uploading your own media for sale.

Prior to your upload, please read all requirements and instructions. If you have any questions, please contact us.

To upload your media, log into your account using your user name and password. From the header, click on your user name to access your account options. Click on Upload Files and choose what kind of upload you would like to use according to your media type (See diagram below). Once your upload is complete, you will see a "pending" status.

Once ezMediArt receives your submission, the curator will review your work in a timely manner. The average review time is 48 hours, depending on the volume of submissions. Approved materials are posted and available for sale. If your submission is not approved you will receive a reason; you may be able to make corrections and resubmit it for approval.

To receive payments for your sales, you will need to set up a PayPal account.

Once you have established your PayPal account, you need to set up your payment information on your ezMediArt account.

Log into your ezMediArt account. Click on "My Commission" then "Settings" and type your PayPal account name (which is your email connected to your PayPal account). Click "Change" (See diagram below). That's it! Now you are ready to sell and receive your payments!

You set your balance threshold for payout!

You don't need to request your payout with PayPal!

You'll be issued a payment on or around the 15th of the month directly into your Paypal account.

For example, if your sales balance is $100.00 ezMediArt will send you $70.00 (70%). Just that easy; straight and forward. Some fees may be charged by PayPal to cross-border payments, depending on where the recipient are based.

If PayPal is not available at your location you can still get your commission using Payoneer services. For that you need to set your Payoneer account here

Recieve Payments from ezMediArt

When you reach a minimum balance that you have set in your Commission Settings, ezMediArt will send you a reminder to Request a Payment of your current balance. After that you will need to fill out and send a "Request a Payment" form from your Payoneer account like in this example:

The payment will be deposited directly into your Payoneer account within 3-5 business days.

ezMediArt is committed to allowing the creator of media to keep the majority of profit on all sales. While this is unheard of in the general marketplace, we have strong beliefs that the creator should be the primary profiteer of his/her work, talent and efforts. Your earning potential will be unlimited as your portfolio grows. You will be given the opportunity for regular, ongoing income without the time constraints of maintaining a sales site.

To ensure you receive your payouts in a timely manner, please confirm that your payout preferences are current and up to date.

Declined Submissions.

Our reviewers are responsible for quality control and enforcement of legal and editorial standards. Reviewers inspect hundreds of images per day. The reviewers are trained to inspect with a careful, professional eye. They are photographers and artists themselves. The review process is subjective – but fair.

It is important to keep in mind that you should never take a rejection personally.

You may make changes and resubmit some of your declined files within 14 days.

Declined submissions that weren't changed and resubmitted will be automatically deleted in 14 days.

Possible reasons we may suspend your account:

  1.   Submitting more than one of the same exact image/video/music.
  2.   Keyword spamming (using the same keywords for unrelated images or inappropriate keywords like 'porn', etc.).
  3.   Frequent miscategorization.
  4.   Large amounts of out-of-focus or noisy photos/videos in a batch.
  5.   Submitting an image/video that has already been rejected without making the appropriate corrections.
  6.   Consistent repeated submissions without addressing the previous rejection reasons.
  7.   Multiple combinations of problems with images/videos (i.e. poor framing, focus, keywording, noise, etc. within the same batch).
  8.   Upsizing of images/videos more than 5%.
  9.   Large batches with all poor quality shots (this includes incorrectly rotated images, snapshots, noise, out-of-focus, etc.).
  10.   Uploading repeat images/videos that are in abundance (i.e. sunflowers, one office building, etc.).
  11.   Keywords that have .teen. and .sexy. in the same image, or any other violation related to the guidelines of what is appropriate to the People Category.
  12.   Submissions of the same image/videos in color, black/white, sepia, blue tone, repeated shots of the same scene, etc.
  13.   Total absence of, or incomplete, model or property/art releases where they are necessary. Forged model releases.

Filenames

Please avoid too long filenames. Our system supports up to 100 characters including spaces. If your filename is longer it will be rejected.

Make sure your filenames DO NOT contain any special characters, brackets, dots, commas, or accents. Examples are letters such as: &,å, ñ, é, ß, ®, ©, §, ç, ä, ø, ü, quote marks (“ ” or ‘ ’), or brackets such as (){}[], or symbols such as !?&%$#@*^<>/|~=+. Spaces and dashes are allowed. Latin characters only!

Filename "untitled" is not allowed. The filename has to meet the Title of your submission.

Keywording

When creating keyword lists, keep in mind that 5 is the minimum number of keywords needed. Do not feel obliged to come up with 50 keywords, as any keywords that only describe your work in an abstract way (or are just straight up irrelevant) might affect your sales potential negatively. All words must be in English and spelled correctly.

Separate keywords by commas.

DO NOT use any special characters, brackets, dots, or accents.

Avoid using keywords that do not relate to your content.

Irrelevant or inappropriate keywords like "sexy", "porn", etc. are not allowed.

Keywords in Music category have to be relevant to the music style of your soundtrack.

We recommend you to use our default prices or change to whatever price you prefer to list at your discretion.

IPTC

When you upload Photo/Image in Photos category or Preview Image in Vector Graphics category our system will read and import the metadata IPTC from your uploading files and automatically fill the following fields in your submission:

1. Title *

     * - If your IPTC metadata has both fields Title (up to 64 characters) and Headline the system imports Title.

If your IPTC metadata has Headline (up to 256 characters) and empty Title the system imports Headline as Title.

If both Title and Headline have no metadata the system imports File Name as Title.

2. Description (up to 2000 characters).

3. Keywords (up to 64 characters).

Image Upload.

We accept only stock photography with a high potential to be sold, not just any photos.

You can only upload images that are your own creations and original in nature. In other words, you can not use somebody else's images, make alterations and modifications, and upload it as your own. You must be the sole and exclusive owner to the copyright of all the images you submit.
If you upload somebody else's image, you risk your account being suspended.

We DO NOT accept photos from any cell phones or tablets!

We accept original photography and CGI artwork in digital form only. We DO NOT accept photos or scans of your or someone else's drawings, paintings, photos, or related material. We need original work in the described format only.

Sometimes your work might be rejected by ezMediArt, even though you successfully submitted them on another stock media site. We do not discuss or judge someone else's policy for acceptance. Our priority might be different than theirs. We are looking for commercial type of stock photography with a high potential to be sold to our buyers. We need quality not quantity. Most of our buyers modify images after purchase, and will therefore desire a high-quality, minimally manipulated. Minor manipulation of photos must be to fix a problem, not to hide it. So, for example, when you blur your photo thinking it will make your photo better, it might actually make it worse because it doesn't make sense for using this effect; the alteration has to have a reason that makes your photo more usable. Manipulations usually put-off most of our buyers who do not want, for example, out-of-focus images. So please understand our priorities and do not be offended if your work is rejected.

Common Rejection Reasons

 1. Image is overexposed. Image is too bright overall. Loss of detail in highlights.

 2. Image is underexposed. Image is too dark overall. Loss of detail in shadows and midtones.

 3. Lighting is flat and lacks contrast. Image is too high in contrast or has an unacceptable lighting ratio between the key and fill light.

 4. Image is entirely out of focus or focus is soft overall.

 5. The focal point is not located in the appropriate area of the image.

 6. Incorrect white balance.

 7. Image is blurry due to motion of the subject or camera shake.

 8. Image contains excessive noise, grain, artifacts and/or is poorly rasterized.

 9. Image has excessive noise reduction and/or excessive sharpening effects applied.

10. Poor framing, cropping, and/or overall image composition.

11. The image contains unacceptable elements: frames, logos, etc.

12. Inaccurate horizon level, overfiltering, distracting elements, window glare distraction, dust contamination on the sensor, grossly over-saturated image.

Image Quality Requirements

A clean camera lens, proper lighting conditions and proper camera settings are required.

Images should be correctly exposed and in-focus.

Avoid sending the same image with slight variations on the angle, color, tone, or repeated shots of the same scene.

The image must be oriented correctly, so make sure it looks correct before you upload it. If your original file is likely not showing its true orientation, you need to fix it, because the image will be oriented exactly as it is uploaded. To solve this, you can open the image in Photoshop, ImageReady or any other image editor, rotate it and save it again. This should save the correct orientation.

Unreasonable black-and-white versions of the photos when color version makes more sense will be rejected. Keep in mind that our buyers can make black-and-white version of your color photo themselves.

File Format and Resolution

We only accept *.jpg images. The file must be at least 4MP (4 Megapixels/4 Million Pixels/2240x1680 pixels). Any file smaller than 2240x1680 pixels will be declined.

ezMediArt will not accept files that have been up-sampled or "rezzed-up". In other words, you can't increase the pixel dimensions to be larger than the file's native size.

DO NOT upsize your images - this damages the resolution of your image. If you upload upsized images, you risk your account being suspended.

We DO NOT accept photos from any cell phones. If you do not know if your camera would create images acceptable for our collection, please contact us and ask before you submit.

Titles

As with any other types of files, make sure your titles describe your photo/image in 3-8 words. Accurate and descriptive titles are the best starting point to ensuring that buyers will find your content without any trouble!

1. All words must be in English and spelled correctly.

2. Titles must be relevant and applicable to the image.

3. Titles must also describe the image in detail.

For example, the title “Abstract background’ is not specific enough for an abstract background photo or illustration, rather it should include additional information like colors, shapes, etc. Additionally, one word titles are generic and do not adequately describe an image (e.g. “Nature” or “Cat”).

4. Titles must be complete sentences, not a list of keywords. Keywords should be added in the keyword section only. For example, using the title “dogs, canine, puppy, puppies in field” to describe an image would be unacceptable. “Puppies playing in a field with blue sky on a sunny day” would be a more appropriate title.

5. Animals/Wildlife photography has to have the title contains the scientific name of the animal, the flower, etc.

Color Profile

All digital files must have the sRGB or Adobe RGB (1998) color space embedded. We do not accept CMYK files or differing resolutions.

Field Boxes

You have to fill out all relevant information in the field boxes (categories, title, keywords, description (optional), prices (or select "free"). All words must be in English and spelled correctly.

Metadata IPTC

If your image file has embedded description metadata IPTC, our pre-processing system will read and import the data automatically (title, description, keywords), all you might need to do is attaching a model release and changing the default prices.

The on-site uploader allows you to submit multiple image files up to 2 GB in total in a single upload.

Video Quality Requirements

We accept footage that originates from a high-quality camera:

Rare exceptions will be made for unique content.

Accurate focus, a clean camera lens, proper lighting conditions and camera settings and smooth camera movements are essential for viable stock. Using a tripod while creating stock video is highly preferable.

Moderate color correction and effects are OK; however, please remember that many buyers will color correct or otherwise modify the look of the footage after purchase, and will therefore desire a high-quality, minimally manipulated, or RAW, image to work with.

If you choose to color-correct or stylize your footage, it would be best to upload both the original and the modified version, giving buyers more options.

We DO NOT accept video from any cell phones or an array of other devices simulated "HD" sources. If you do not know if your camera would create footage acceptable for our collection, please contact us and ask before you submit.

Duration and File Size

Video clips should be up to 30 seconds, and no larger than 500 MB. Clips should have no edits, if you do have a file with several clips edited together which can be sold as individual clips, please separate them. ezMediArt may determine certain sequences acceptable if they meet specific artistic or aesthetic standards.

File Format

All videos should be prepared as in the one of these file containers: .MOV or .MP4.  If your footage is in a different format (such as .AVI), please convert it to .MOV or MP4 before uploading.

If your editing program cannot export .MOV or .MP4 files, we advise using a free program called MPEG Streamclip or a professional conversion program such as Final Cut's Compressor/Adobe Media Encoder/QuickTime Pro Encoder to perform the conversion. Always export at native resolution, aspect ratio, and frame rate.

Please check your files before uploading to make sure they are high-quality and broadcast-ready.

Codecs

We accept the following codecs:

Animation Resolution and Frame Rate

Camera-shot clips should be prepared at their native resolution and frame rate. For motion graphics work, we will accept these standards:

Audio Quality Requirements
